XL Airways, the charter and scheduled airline, ceased operations when it went into administration on 12 September 2008.

The airline provided short-haul charter services to Chania airport (CHQ) from its three bases at London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasglow.

This may have an impact on the number of flights available to Chania, Crete in 2009 and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment on availability.
